pipistrellafelix: (inara happy)

(no subject)

George Gordon, Lord Byron (Mad as A Lark But Very Funny)...who knew?

...unless, like Wordsworth, they prove unintelligible... )

Some of the Romantic poems I don't like so much; but most of them are utterly gorgeous, and some of them are even funny (witness Byron). I am having too much fun reading them out loud.

Today, for no reason I can see, was wonderfully happy. I got my bike from my mother (and then ran into her again at the library); I biked all over Broadway[without a helmet, because I don't know where it is, and I am a rebel!]; I met with Jakob at Vivace; I had really good chicken tikka masala for lunch; I watched Family Guy with Mallory and Elaine; and I'm in the middle of laundry.
Why exactly all that makes me so pleased, I have no idea. Maybe it was the sun, still.

And tonight? Claire's Midsummer!

oh, glory

+ seeing claire!
+ snout. oh, my lord, snout. and starveling.
- it not being the bathhouse midsummer...
+ seeing it with four beautiful fabulous girls
+ walking down broadway at night, loudly proclaiming...everything
+ ice cream from qfc (mmm, white chocolate raspberry truffle!)
+ stealing spoons (oo, secret hidden pocket spoons!)
+ sitting in an ice cream circle, talking about summer and what we miss
+ boy names! (angus, cliff, daniel aka rafael, darren (not chad!), tobias clarence livingston iii)

i know it's february, but it almost felt like summer. almost.
