Apparently--I make no promises of the veracity of this statement but I've seen it in more than one place--apparently, in Seattle, it is illegal to carry an occupied aquarium or fishbowl onto a bus, as the sloshing of the water may disturb the other passengers. Well, how do you think I brought Erin's fish home with me over the break? That's right. I'm a law-breaker.

I do wonder how such laws would come in effect. Was there a sudden plague of sloshing fish bowls on the public transport, I wonder? Or a council member with hydrophobia who took the bus during the annual Fish Owners Convention?

Haha, I know...I wasn't sure why on earth that was a law. (There are some weird laws around, though.) I like the image of a sudden plague of sloshing...:)
