a few things...randomly.

I don't remember who I stole this from exactly, but: If you see this on a friend's journal, quote Firefly!

Mal: "Now think real hard. You been bird-dogging this township a while now. They wouldn't mind a corpse of you. Now you can luxuriate in a nice jail cell, but if your hand touches metal, I swear by my pretty floral bonnet, I will end you."

and

Wash: "Everything looks good from here... (beat...playing with plastic dinosaurs over his console) Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive."
(as Stegosaurus) "We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land'."
(as T-Rex) "I think we should call it...your grave!"
(Stegosaurus) "Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"
(T-Rex) "Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh...now die!"

I LOVE Firefly. Which means I really, really hope the timing works out and I can watch Serenity on Saturday. If not I shall have to go Sunday. And next week is Mirrormask!

Speaking of which, sort of: I have three extra tickets to Neil Gaiman, Tuesday Oct. 4th, 7pm. Three dollars (or you can just owe me a hot chocolate or something). If you want to come, comment and let me know! I will likely be lining up uber-early--so come keep me company--but we can certainly meet uber-earlier and get food/bubbletea/whathaveyou.

And now I'm going to try and maybe be productive before work, despite the fact that I am exhausted. Still. ....or maybe not.

I wanna come... oh wait, I'm still in flipping Cambridge. In the middle of a windstorm.

We're having wind too...not really a storm, as of yet, but I'm hoping.

Neil will be around again in a few years. One hopes. When he's written the next uberfabulous book.

A tree fell over by Whole Foods, and the ones in my backyard are having quite a party right now.

I need Wash's dinosaurs to make a comeback.

[identity profile] elanor-two.livejournal.com 2005-09-30 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
Me too! I hope they do...even if they're just sitting by the console or something. I love the dinosaurs.

Awesome! Shall we meet in U District then? Or would you like to just come find me in line? What's your Tuesday look like?

AHAHAHA Oh my GOD.....I am laughing. So hard.
(I love the phrase "you know what it means when they start to take on that fizzy flavor;
each delightful quirk and nuance, gleaming with a peachy kind of preindication." because ahaha I know exactly what they mean.
Tim. Posing for pictures. Arrogant bastard, but silly as all hell.
Who is this person?

[identity profile] elanor-two.livejournal.com 2005-09-30 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, and I didn't even get to the first part. Meet in the front part of the bookstore (with all the bargain tables) at five?

Sarah-Morgaine is this tiny little native hippy Nova girl, and shes actually kind of amazing. Poke at her journal, her photography and writing style are a tiny bit mind blowing.
Bookstore. 5. RIGHT.

It looked fairly cool, yez. I'm still laughing over Tim though. That boy. Good lord.

I LOVE WASH!

...I am so excited for Serenity. It's ridiculous. I'm sure you know. :D

[identity profile] merrylives15.livejournal.com 2005-09-30 06:50 am (UTC)(link)
Me too, omg.

Yessss! I'm going tomorrow right after school. :D

[identity profile] elanor-two.livejournal.com 2005-09-30 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahaha I want to goooooo....

I think I'm going Saturday. I hope that works out. I think I might die if I have to wait any longer.

It got a good review in the paper this morning, YAY. Maybe lots of newbies will come to see it and then TV people will say, Dude, let's make a series, and all the Browncoats will laugh. I hope so.
