Blood and Shakespeare

Got a blood draw today, and now I have a looney-tunes bandaid on my inner elbow. Actually the bandaid is more annoying than the draw was. Hee...my blood was warm and in tubes. Weird...

In other news, our play opens officially tomorrow (dessert benefit thing tonight at my house--all sold out--which will be fun). So COME SEE IT!

What: "The Compleat Wks of Willm Shkspr (Abridged)" by Jess Winfield, Daniel Singer and Adam Long, directed by Shana Bestock. Performed by Philip Goldfarb, Patrick Lennon and Kenna Kettrick, with Allie Kerr playing Bob and being the Stage Manager.

This is the entirety of the Shakespearean Canon, condensed into about an hour and a half, including the Titus Adronicus Cooking Show, rap Othello and Hamlet Backwards, to mention but a few....and yes, it includes all the plays. Really. We promise.

When/Where: Two weekends at two different places:
July 1, 2 and 3 , 8pm each night
at the Richard Hugo House (Cabaret Performance Space):
1634 11th Ave (across 11th from the park/resuvoir)

July 8, 9 and 11 at 8pm and 10th at 11pm
at the Bathhouse on Greenlake,
7312 W Greenlake Dr N

Cost: FREE! All performances are free, although donations are strongly encouraged; at the Hugo House performances, all donations go to the cast and crew; at the Bathhouse, it all goes to the SPT Youth Fund. NOTA BENE: So come to both, since it'll be different because of the spaces, and donate at Hugo. Hee. I'm such a shameless ham.)

Please do come, everyone--I'd love to see you.

Ciao--I have to go finish cleaning the house for tonight...

Not fair!

Ooooh, I wish I could be there! It sounds so fun and unexpected and playfully irreverent (if that makes any sense...). But anyway, break a leg!

It'svery irrevrent. In Hamlet Backwards I'm Ophelia, and to drown I spit water into a cup (drowning backwards, see) and tonight I accidentally spit all over the director's mother. Fortunately, both the director and her mother thought it was funny. :)

Why do all the intervesting things happen in the summer WHEN I'M NOT THERE?!?!!?

*wails* I don't know! I'm sorry! I would do a performance for you later but I'll be gone then...
When do you get back?
