I really think it's time to sleep...
Paragraphs imply that I have some sort of ability to make cogent transitions and interesting sentences. Right now I think that is a bit of a lie...
- Have been mostly spending time with Joel this week, or doing schoolwork. Or maybe mostly attempting to do schoolwork while hanging out with Joel, which ends up fairly badly for the schoolwork. (I did manage to edit a paper while eating breakfast.) & I introduced most of the fam and Joel today in bits and pieces. (By which I mean not all at once, not that the members of the fam were actually in bits and...yeah. Um.)
- Saw Ravenna yesterday! She & Joel & I played with her dog & talked theater & went to Dilettante where they have ridiculous sundaes that are the size of a large grapefruit. Seriously delicious though.
- Big Bad English paper is nearly done, all it needs is an edit. I'm actually pretty darn proud of it; it's more like a lit crit article than a classroom paper, & considering that half my argument is that Stephen Greenblatt is missing his own point, I get to feel sort of adventurous too.
- Big Bad History paper is not nearly done, but Dr. E is terrifically nice & is letting me have the weekend to write it since tomorrow is essentially a fear deadline for us. I guess this is what happens when you walk into a teacher's office & say, "Hi, I haven't done anything that I said I was going to do since I talked to you on Tuesday." (I did not add "because I was with my boyfriend, whom discounting last weekend I have not seen in months" but I have the feeling she would have been perfectly okay with that too.)
- My computer is completely and utterly a goner, given that it now does not recognize that it's plugged into a wall. (I am using Nikki's.) This weekend I am taking it into Best Buy & arguing with the tech geeks. Yay.
And finally, if you want to get out of a DUI ticket, just claim that a unicorn was driving. Or something like that.
