I finished reading Our Town (I loved it!) & am working on the exercises Ki gave us--preparing semi-improv presentations about our own town. Go Seattle! I already adore Acting II.

Ah, Our Town. I was in that in high school, I think largely so the director could delegate all hymn-teaching duties to me. But I had a good time.

My family went to see it and was all "Why is there no scenery?" *headdesk*

Speaking of Somali pirates--while yes, some of them are just gangsters and yes, none of them should be justified to take hostages, there was a great article in the independent awhile back that really puts some of this stuff into perspective. Definitely worth reading through the whole thing, and it's not very long:

Thanks! That is really interesting. I actually do think there is plenty more going on than the pirates being evil & all the western powers being Oh noes we are victims here.
Somali has some serious problems, & anyone wanting to war against the pirates should look to cleaning those problems up responsibly.
That's a pretty good way to look at most wars actually. Will anyone really DO that? ..who knows....
