Jul. 11th, 2004 12:44 pmWahaha.....who knew losing money could be so fun? Went to Emerald Downs yesterday for the birthday celebration for Joel...it was fun. We watched the horses and picked them to win for entirely random reasons (well, I did...usually). I bet three times and won once, on the filly race (yay!).
Made me miss horses even more...gah. Painful. I shall have to ride in England if I can, and email that person about the SU Equestrian team...*plots*
And then we ushered for Captain Smartypants. BRILLIANT. They're so incredibly cool, fantastic, so much fun...they have some beautiful new songs (Allie bought the CD, I shall have to steal--er, borrow--it from her).
We did the show at 11pm...cripes. Crazy, and fun. Kelley was there sitting in the back with Charlotte and Rose and Liz and I think her shrieking helped the audience get warmed up. ) Maybe they would be anyway, but they were very loud and laughing and cheering. Which just makes the show better. Best of this weekend, I think (so far). One more show tonight. Will not dwell on that.
I'm making prezzies for the other three and Shana...should do that. And then I'm going to the library and I'm going to sit there and read because I can, and then hang out at Chocolati maybe, before the show.
Wow. Plans.
I had Smartypant's version of Hallelujah running through my head all this morning...which is now wiped out brutally by Tom Lehrer. *snicker*
