I just got back upstairs from watching CSI and then Dogma. I didn't mean to watch Dogma--but it was fun anyway. It was...kind of odd...spiritual in a blood-and-guts style. Yeah. That doesn't really do it justice you know, but it was nice to watch anyway. And Alan Rickman is bloody brilliant so that's worth nearly anything. (He's on my wall. *grin*)
And Emily called me today! Hooray!

I told myself today I was going to get to bed earlier than midnight tonight, dammit.

It melts so perfectly after it's been sitting in my pocket for seven minutes. The pressure on my front teeth as I bite, hard, and the hollow, deep snap of the piece breaking off. It falls onto my tongue and smooth layers melt off as my tongue rolls it around, sucking the rich taste back into my throat--and then it's gone, leaving a bitter, rough taste on my tongue and my lips.
There is no substance in this world more perfect than good dark chocolate. None.

I wrote this today when I was 'studying' at Starbucks (because, you know, inspiration trumps homework) and thought, haha, I'll post this on my journal! ...and now I'm all embarrassed about it. Because that's what happens when I reread my work. But hell. I'm posting it anyway. It makes no sense, even if you have read the work it comes from (which no one has, except possibly Allie). And sorry about the present tense. I usually don't use it, but this...kind of asked for it.
