The Triumphant Honors Nerd has conquered the Test of Philosophy, and, of all things, it was actually Fun. I know. It's weird. But I think it helped with my desire to write--I wrote two pages front and back--and my LORD I hadn't realized how much I needed to think. Aha, that sounds like I haven't been at all...I have, but it's been absorbing. I got to organize all that, a little bit. Hardly anything relatively, but it was fabulous. There was a question on the Heraclitus / Parmenides Debate, And How Plato Proposed To Solve It, and Whether Socrates Was Guilty Of The Charges Brought Against Him, and Draw And Explain The Divided Line From Book Six Of The Republic, and What Are The Greatest Strengths And Weaknesses Of Plato's Theory Of The Cardinal Virtues?
That last one was a little funky. But the other three were good, verily and aye. I convicted Socrates (I feel so bad. *grin*). But everyone else I talked to afterwards did as well. So. (And Dr. Madsen is fully convinced that Socrates is a guilty little bugger. Considering what some of his students did historically I can certainly see why. Alcibiades? Traitorous little bastard. But rather appealing anyhow.) But the test was fun. It made me happy.

Last night was brilliant...we'd gone to bed, I was reading Emma and not Plato (haha, so there), it's about eleven--Gwen calls Danica's cell phone. "What do you want on your sandwich?...hand the phone to Kenna." Gwen works at Subway, and her manager is apparently all over giving out free sandwiches (as well as flamingly gay, very funny and dragging them to Neighbors. That was bad grammar.) So when Gwen gets off her shift, at midnight, she brought us Subway sandwiches and cookies. At midnight. And they were really, really good. I was starving, for some reason. And it amused me incredibly much. Gwen and Danica are going to Neighbors tonight...they tried to drag me along. I do want to go--in a vague way--but not this weekend. Maybe another time. Me. Going clubbing. Good lord. Heh.

And I'm going to head outside (because it's gorgeous, don't deny it), and then home--I get to listen to my new LPs, huzzah! Jazz records and chocolate, few things can make me happier...

And tomorrow? Tomorrow is the ball. I would squeal loudly in glee, but it's embarrassing. Muahahah. :D

"Oh, darling, throw away the key, I'm yours forever..."
"In my ivory tower life was just a Hostess snack, but now I've tasted chocolate and I'm never going back!"
