Jan. 2nd, 2005 08:14 amOne year since I started this. I am not going to attempt to do any kind of reflection on the year, it's far too long and complicated, and I lived it already anyhow. But it was good, overall, very good.
I woke up early this morning--jetlag still has me in its criminal clutches--I think I woke up at four. Not sure. I lay in the dark for quite a while, sort of dozing, having incredibly weird and twisted dreams--of which I remember very little besides the weird and twistedness. Except that there was flying, and supermarkets, and my little sister hiding in aisles with a boy of questionable repute, and biscuits. And dark alleyways.
Actually got out of bed at six, feeling more awake than I did all yesterday (which was a bit of blur. Sorry, girls, it was lovely to see you but I can't account for anything I did...:)). Ate breakfast [resolution: eat better, if that's possible at college], watched the sky get lighter. Now that the sun's actually up the light is gorgeous, all golden and frosty [resolution: get up early more often and enjoy it].
Today I am going to see Melissa (hoorah!) at the Sound of Music singalong, haha...should be fun. Must call Emily (I don't have my lisence, she's going to kill me [resolution: get my driver's lisence!]) and Rachel.
I want to finish presents for people. Lord, I feel so behind [res: finish presents, haha].
New Year's Eve was...wonderful (wonderful, they call me wonderful). I love those people so much I can't express it. There is nothing happier than being in a room with them, sitting around, talking, laughing, coming up with the oddest things, dancing and singing and oooh I can't explain it at all. But I love it.
Plus of course, seeing everyone dressed up all fancy was oodles of fun. And Patrick's song (finally!) in that very sexy dress. I love love love you all.
Back to school today. Would have been nice to have one or two more days, but not for me is the lazy life, apparently. Am going to go take a walk, I think [res: get more exercise].
Love love love as always. Happy new year, m'darlings.
