sort of a...trickle of conciousness
Feb. 6th, 2005 10:37 pmMy stomach hurts funnily. I think I ate too fast or not enough or something. I don't think I'm sick. I'd better not be sick; I can't afford to be sick. If I get the slightest inclination I will simply put off being sick until later. My roomate is sick. Viral respiratory infection. I refuse to catch it. Simply refuse because it's the only way not to. Oh, and I'll wash my hands lots too.
Tried to do homework all day today. Managed to do some; my math, most of my history reading, some Aquinas. I have to rewrite that history paper by Wednesday (geography, people, geography is important to history and damn me if I ever forget it), and find an Aquinas topic.
Compline is good though. Was happier sounding than last weeks'. I think I will stop by Madsen's office and ask for Baroque music reccomendations. I have to fill out my OA application (dammit, dammit...).
The Student's Prayer:
Oh Lord
I ask you to relieve my suffering from homework
Not by lessening the load, for I know what I have to do,
But by lending me the strength to finish what has to be finished
The will to send distractions away
The inspiration to find interest in necessity
And the utter stubbornness to get through until Spring Break.
Amen.
(Sure, it's ironic poetry...but I could use it right about now. Oy.)
