May. 5th, 2005 12:41 pmSo...Dr. Schulz is leaving for the University of Oregon. It was really weird--he came in at the end of our test in Lit today and explained all about it, and the atmosphere was so depressed, it was like they were trying to make it a funeral. He's moving, not dying. And I mean, ok, sad he'll be gone, but I don't actually know him that well. Also it's kind of annoying...if he'd been thinking about this move for a long time (and he has; and his wife works there), why did he apply for the Director of Honors position in the first place? Why not let Madsen finish off the year, then go on sabbatical and find a new director? Eh. It doesn't actually affect us--since the curriculum and teachers are set for next year--except in terms of advisement.
Haha, we were coming up with all sorts of people to apply, though. Prof E. would be truly awesome, but we figured she's got too much going on. We all love Tadie, but he'd probably be far too formal for the newbies. And then we got really silly--would we rather Dr. Wright or Wes Howard Brook? Wes. Okay, Wes or Father Reichman? Reichmann! He's far too old! ...so. We'll see. It'll actually be really interesting I think, to watch the process. It's all sped up though--Schulz is in Oregon by June 15th and they want a new director by June 9, when our finals end.
I have an art history paper topic. Now I just have to write it. ARGH. Erin has a fabulously cool one. I want to steal it (but I won't). Must go work before lab...
Comment here with what you think an entry about me in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy would say and/or post this meme in your own journal and ask others to do the same for you. If readers have not read the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams, force them to do so -- or at least explain to them the concept of towels.
