....well, I'm back. I'm getting sick, or at any rate I have a sore throat and a stuffed nose, so I feel all foggy; and I didn't eat dinner (only two pieces of chocolate), and I am tired. But although that sounds like a catalog of complaints (well, it is), I don't feel all that bad.

I miss Tonasket, though, already. It's ridiculous, but I do. That play was so much fun. Sarah and Walter are the most fabulous family ever, and it was true community theater--a community, producing a show, with what they have and who they are. It was raggedy and safety-pinned and full of heart and hilarity. And the kids were utterly adorable, especially Casi, who was silly and sweet and gave me hugs (Tim kept saying that the kids in Tonasket must be genetically engineered to be cute). The shows went fabulously. It just...gar. So much effing FUN. Pictures to follow, if I can wrangle some more out of Sarah. She told me before we left that I was now part of the Henze vortex, and I said, Good! Ooooh, I would love to do another show out there...

The drive back was sort of dark and quiet; we had some terrible weather over the pass and we hit a deer. Not on the pass, in Cle Ellum. The deer was okay and the car only got a dent but it was...um. A little too much excitement. Oy. We listened to Eddie, though, which was funny as always. And then to Pink Floyd's The Wall, which is intensely creepy and also very gorgeous music.

Woke at 7:30 (fucking hell, I got in at midnight) to go to the Bathhouse for His Dark Materials. This is going to be interesting...buahahaha, one kid is going to be an utter handful. He's hilarious but he's such an ADD know-it-all. Oy. There's some really fabulous kids there though, and it's going to be fun working with Jena and Austin. HDM II is going to pretty much kick ass, I think. I'm excited. *grin*

...I still miss Midsummer's though.

Ahaha, I love this job. I have been at the Hugo House for an hour; I have just made nine dollars, and the entirety of my actions is: reading a few pages of my book, checking my email, reading LJ, chatting to people who work here. Hurrah.

I want to SEE PEOPLE, ok? I feel like there are a great many people I have not seen in far too long. The kitchen should be done soon; there will have to be a party. AND email me! Or call me (not that I'm at home, ever, and my cell is dead again; so email) so we can hang, mmmkay? I love you people.
