I have only one word for salsa dancing tonight: HOORAY. Actually I have a lot more words, mostly consisting of brilliant, fantastico, so much fun (yes I realize that's three) and other superlatives along that line.
There was a beginning salsa lesson at the start and then we stood around in a circle and made awkward salsa-beginner moves, but once the actual dancing got started, it was awesome. We actually got rather good, I'm pleased to say. Ehehe...although sometimes the experimenting failed. I think we both got hit in the head once...
Ahh, it was so much fun though! Man, I love dancing. And I need to scuff my shoes more, cause I was slipping all over the place, and I need to get insoles or something--because my feet hurt like a bitch, ow--but I don't really care, because it was totally worth it.
Thank you Sam! Basically, we rock. Quieres bailar conmigo otra vez? (See! I remember some Spanish!)

...and I am going to be really sore tomorrow. Luckily all I have is homework and hanging with Erin, both of which can be done with minimal movement.

YAY SALSA!

Also I met my director and scene partner (Bronwen and Jakob respectively) today, and got the script and the scene. Really fun stuff, I think. The play seems fairly crazy--Charlie is a major player, as Bronwen says, and is sleeping with my character, Faith, and her stepmother as well, so it's nice and twisted; and it's all based round an organization that gives grants to people whom no one else will publish. I get to drink a martini. Should be good. (I'll post more info about the performances later.)

It is so incredibly windy that I nearly actually got blown over this morning. And the tree outside our window leans at a rather disturbingly large angle every time a big gust comes along.

Apparently weather forecasters are predicting a possible loss of power tomorrow. Which means TVs will be out. On Superbowl Sunday. In Seattle.

Is it very, very wrong of me that I find this hilarous?
