theater people are the best people ever.

We just had an awesome rehersal...& everyone in this play is so fabulous. Hanging out in the greenroom, hearing from the alumns about acting in Seattle, laughing at the scenes on stage, raving about Shakespeare with Cozi, weighing the respective merits of a drama or history major (Pat--Orgon--seems to think I could actually manage a triple in four years with the honors program. Ahaha...yeah).
& Andrew is wonderful as well--because, hey check it, he's mad for Ren faires as well & wants to start a pirate organization on campus & get into the guilds. I have found another geek! He isn't a tabletop gamer, but he is a geek. YES. I knew they were around.
& on the way back from rehersal we were talking about sleep--"Sleep is for the weak! & the non-college student!" and he said, "You know what happens if I fall asleep? Jayne comes in here and slits my throat and takes over."
& I instantly responded, geek that I am, "you could lock the door, and keep the power hungry maniac at bay," and of course he jumped in with, "no, I'm starting to like this euolgy idea...here lies my beloved Zoe...somewhat less attractive, now that she's all dead and corpsified."
I love having other Firefly dorks around.

I don't understand why I'm so cheerful right now, when I have a poly-sci draft due tomorrow & my history & lit papers hanging over my head for monday...oh yeah. That would be theater, becuase it's a drug.
