This weekend was amazing & wonderful. I wish I could somehow make my brain flow out through my fingers onto the screen, because I don't know if I can do it justice here (right, I don't have to do it justice, I just have to do it).

It's the people, that's all. It's the incredible cast of the play, everyone, who throws themselves onstage with gusto and glee and dedication. It's joking in the dressing room with everyone; it's playing bad music and good music & getting up and dancing; it's Katie making herself up like she has dysentery; it's Andrew and Matt making Matt's hair poufier than ever; it's rushing around at five minutes, literally pinning Katie into her costume because it broke--again; it's talking to Ashley on the com--"copy that, pretty pigeon!" & "cinco minutos, gracias senorita!"; it's creeping up the stairs with Cozy to watch the first half of the last act, finally; it's Jon giving astrology readings (freakily accurate, & amazing), & telling wild stories & essentially being the coolest person I have ever met; it's standing in a circle together and counting, reliably, over forty in the counting game.

It's hanging out in Andrew's room last night after the show, four people on his bed, arms wrapped around each other, watching CAMP, with Cozy and Anne in the chairs yelling at pivotal moments ("pivotal! this is pivotal! we're pivoting, everybody!"), and singing along and imitating Damian being Vlad (which he never has been, but should be). It's telling crazy kiss stories--and this is another You Know You're With Drama Kids When moment--when Andrew stops, grabs Matt, & says "okay, you're me--" & then the thing goes on with roleplaying; when we make the stories cookies: "yours is crunchy? okay, well, you tell yours, & then i've got a creamy filling....." It's creating several new inside jokes in the space of an hour; it's writing diagrams on the windows to explain the stories; it's Andy telling dramatic drama camp stories with Andrew accompanying him on the organ with chords (yes, there's an organ in his room).

It's piling around a table in C-street after the show today, having found Anne again, trying to counsel her on relationships when really she has a far better handle on them than anyone else. It's giving Cozy two standing ovations for things she said--being either completely hilarious or completely perfect, sometimes both; it's watching the Thriller music video and singing along. It's walking back to Campion blasting The Tango Maureen; it's Andrew & Matt "making out" on the bridge; it's dancing wildly when we see Anne & Cozy walking back below; it's Kristen pretending she doesn't know us (but really she just wants to join in); it's dancing with Andy in the hallway, avoiding studying; it's me dragging Andy's speakers into the bathroom & us listening to Wicked while we take our showers, because you can hear everything through the bathroom pipes, even across the hall.

This song...basically sums it up. Less than three forever.
