THREE SISTERS!
Nov. 1st, 2006 11:03 pmAlso known as that thing, that's eating my life, y'know, that one. Although today after rehersal was quite lovely as Andrew, Andy, Casey & Taylor & I stood around outside & traded theater stories. Taylor told us about other crazy stuff he's done with Ki, in the old Pigott Auditorium, & we swapped bad-highschool-matinee horror stories (cellphones, people talking, all that).* He really is an amazing old man. It was nice. Anyway, the info:
What: Chekhov's "Three Sisters," by the SU drama dept, directed by Ki Gottberg
Where: At the Lee Center for the Arts, on 12th & Marion, on the east edge of campus.
When: We open November 9th, & run that weekend & the next (& close on the 19th). We go Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. & Sundays at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets: Are only $10 for the general public ($6 if you're an SU student). Hey, that's a steal.
To get them, call the SU Box Office: 206-296-2244, or go by & visit. Their hours are 1:30-6pm every day.
I sent an email too. Pass it on! & if you want to come, call & get tickets. It's going to be a small house (60-100 seats every night), so possibly harder to get tickets just by walking up. At least I hope it will. We're going to need audiences for this....
Right. Off to do homework & then crash into bed. God I'm tired. I can't decide if I'm excited or nervous about this. Both. Neither. I'm too tired to tell. I need to go to bed...
My favorite is still when we did Macbeth & people talked the whole way through until Maggie did her bloodcurdling Lady Macduff scream & the place went dead quiet except for one voice going, "oh shit...."
