Dec. 4th, 2006 11:28 amReasons why this day is good even though it began at six-thirty:
- I just talked to Kristen for a while, & I had not seen her in forever. We made Firefly jokes, & tentative plans to hang out lots over break.
- Before that I met with Dr. E--I swear, that's all that has to happen to make a day amazing--& I have a general direction for my thesis. I'm looking at kings & queens in theatrical performance, which means that in order to narrow that down & start finding good questions, over break I will read lots of Shakespeare (Richard II, Richard III, Henry IV, Henry V) & Marlowe (Edward II), and watch every single taped performance of those plays I can get my hands on. The SU Library apparently has all the BBC Shakespeares, & I'm fairly certain that Taylor has everything they don't. Man, this paper's gonna rock.
- Before that was acting finals--I turned in my paper, & Alysson & I did a kickass scene, & it feels good to be done. Two down, two to go.
- Soon I will be going to lunch with the boys, possibly Kristen, and Cozy if I can get ahold of her. Lunch with these people = much merriment.
- I have Earl Grey tea.
- Cozy & I are going to spend all afternoon working on our design projects. While this might be partially stressful given that they're due tomorrow, I am mostly looking forward to a)playing with paper, glue & knives, & b)hanging out with Cozy.
- The As You Like It meeting is tonight! The first time for everyone together as a cast to talk with the director. I am so effing psyched for this play.
- There is a possibility of Magic games tonight...I have both new decks with me (that Aaron & I made--a white/black and a green/blue). Both are fairly kickass but I need to test them against other people's. (Also, if anyone is up for Magic over break, I am so ready for you.)
- Thanks to Esther, I have yet another reason to adore Barack Obama: look, a politician using faith the way it should be! (That's commentary on his AIDS day speech; the speech itself is linked in the first paragraph. READ IT.)
