Pesto. And Carpets.
Aug. 11th, 2007 12:08 pmToday is Pesto Day at my house. Early this morning my parents went to the Farmer's Market (I, tired by Zeeking with Lily, Patrick & Noel the night before, did not); now there are bags (literally full PCC bags) of basil lying around. My parents are in the kitchen mixing up basil and garlic and pine nuts and olive oil in the food processor.
The house smells incredible.
I am not pesto-ing; I am cleaning out the back room so Franny has a place to sleep, & then going downtown to meet Anneka, get my shoes fixed (damn cheap salsa shoes), & see if I can scrounge up some accommodating rug shops. Which reminds me:
Does anyone (in Seattle...) have any oriental or vaguely middle eastern pattered rugs or carpets they would be willing to let the theater borrow for three weeks? We're putting on Arabian Nights, & we want carpets. We'll take terribly good care of them (all actors are barefoot all the time, & we'll roll them up & store them in back when the Taming of the Shrew kids are around). You'll get them back on the 26th. Anyone? Por favor?
