GHOST SONATA
Apr. 8th, 2008 09:48 amHello everyone! Time for the usual--the show announcement. This one has a long run, but don't let that stop you coming early (and often)!
Ghost Sonata
by August Strindberg
dir. Andy Justus
April 11-May 10
Fri, Sat @ 8pm
Sunday perf. @ 5pm on 4/20, 4/27 & 5/4
at All Pilgrim's Church
500 Broadway Ave. E. & Republican (on Capitol Hill)
Tickets & Info:

Please join us! It's a really interesting & rarely produced play. OCT says:
Pre-figuring much of 20th Century theatrical form and horror-film conventions, Ghost Sonata creates a world where the audience is never quite sure whether anyone is alive or not.
A young student with the ability to see the dead encounters a ghoul-like old man, a woman called The Mummy, a vampire cook who sucks the sustenance from all food, and a host of creatures intent on making him one of them. A strange, startling and mesmerizing night of theater.
I play the Young Lady; my mother's in it as well playing The Mummy (my mother in the play!) & if you know my friend Andrew Perez, he's in it as the Student.
Plus it's the 100th anniversary of the play, so maybe Strindberg's ghost will show up to watch with us.
(As per usual, any questions, ask me! & please pass this on to as many people as you can.)
