life. some more of it.
Oct. 7th, 2008 09:05 pmI have been alive! Just not posting on the internets. My life in a nutshell:
- Classes are still insane: History 201 = tolerable, I feel fairly superior but sometimes it's nice to be smugly smart, so I'm gliding. PNW History = I don't own half the books so I'm horribly behind & am trying to care? At least I have a study buddy in the class. Moby Dick: Still rocking my close-reading, critical text socks off. Physics: Um, best class ever. That's all.
- Drama Honors: I have been on an absolutely awful emotional roller-coaster with this over the last week, choosing ideas, having them shot down, scrambling to find other ones, discovering that I don't know all of the information I need, getting helpful help that still sends me into a script-finding tailspin...it is sort of insane. But long story short? Perez & I are working together officially, now, & we are going to write a 15-minute musical. Yeah, you read that right. Stay tuned. (Ha, ha!)
- I talked to Chris about casting & I feel better. Obviously I am still sad, & when I walk through the Lee Center I get sadder, but I am feeling okay about it--getting feedback is useful for one's self-esteem I feel. (Although I will say this: If I don't get cast in R&J, heads will roll.*)
- Writing Center continuing as per usual...every year gets more comfortable. I spent two hours today organizing the T-Drive (where we keep everything on the computer on our network), which made me feel accomplished & fantastic.
- The car needs the shop again. The front driver door won't open. Don't ask. Me + Melinda = weird.
- Apparently I am going to be a part-time sugar-plum elf? I am not sure about this! It will be entertaining though.
- & I really should go do homework now! Eugh.
(* I am pretty much gunning for Juliet, mostly because that's about the only female part I fit into well at all. If she goes gender-bent, I want Mercutio! But basically, I just want to be in it.)
