Jun. 30th, 2009 06:31 pmI do not write here nearly as often as I used to, which for some reason still sort of surprises me when I do come here to write. Hmm. Things of note:
- I have joined BECU, which I like far more than a typical bank for several reasons, not least of which is that they are local, member-owned, & sane. When I set up my account the woman asked where I was coming from & I said, Chase, & she said, Yeah, we've been getting a lot of those lately, & I said, I am not at all surprised. Once I get my final direct-deposit check from SU into my WaMu/Chase account I am closing out everything with them & being officially all with BECU.
- Although this is my week I have designated for financial figurings, I have not yet looked at my school loans. I am frankly afraid to. Alknaskjbsadk. Do not want! Need job that pays! Yargle.
- Despite only working one day a week I seem to find myself plenty to do, since that is apparently my MO.
- I am directing I Gelosi, in conjunction with Anna coming up to teach awesome commedia workshops, since that was pretty much my only issue with directing it. So I think we have that covered. I am pretty excited about this, actually; my only concern is scheduling, but I feel confident that with some commitment & good old fashioned stubbornness this will work.
- I am also heading up the BE launch party, which will probably be happening the last week of July / first week of August, somewhere around there. So I ask: Does anyone know of any free/cheaply rented spaces in Seattle that would make good party digs? Preferably liquor-license capable, since a bar is a great way to make a little moola. Let me know if you think of anything. I am pretty stoked for this party, though.
- Other than that I have been slowly, slowly going through my room & stuff in the back & sorting things & running random errands. I have been biking a lot more now that I have a new bike--she is a road bike & blue & pretty & has some grating problems with her gears but I am going to fix that & she actually fits me. Huzzah for exercise.
- Also I have been reading novels. Which is not something I feel that I have done in years. & which, uh, is AWESOME.
- Oh, & I made bread and a cake today. So there. :)
