TiLT, on the right day.
Sep. 24th, 2009 11:21 am- Bloody Henry.
The cast thereof, for one; these people are amazing--great to work with, enormous senses of humor, every one of them, flexible and friendly and pretty much everything you want in a co-artist. We are having a potluck tonight! Glee! Plus I am learning a shit ton about puppetry and that makes me feel good--learning new skills always does. We worked out more kinks last night, and I feel ready to open...still on the edge of "Oh my god, I am scrambling, what the hell is happening next?" but, er, in a good way? I'm excited to have an audience of more than a few people, though (Perez came last night & Dierdre watched and that was good).
- Tea.
This seems to make a lot of these lists, because I love it. Especially Mango Ceylon which is my drug of choice today.
- Early modern music. & Pandora Radio.
We have two musicians working with us on Bloody Henry and they have rekindled a desire to listen to Thomas Tallis et al, which--thanks to the wonders of Pandora--I can, all day. I love the harmonies and multilayered vocals and how they are calming without being soporific, and just so lovely...
- Seattle Public Library. Libraries!
I am about to dive into research for the next myth-based musical and my goodness do I love free books I can borrow, and researching, and burying myself in shelves of information to pick out the right bits, and taking notes and compiling and rethinking them. Good lord I am a NERD.
Right...the website is back up, so I should go print reports and do the work I couldn't do all week when the site was down. Which is also, sideways, a TiLT entry, because this job is really good.
I am lucky. I am healthy and loved and loving and employed in a good situation and doing things I have a passion for. Remember the blessings.
& I must edit to add: Gavin's dog, Jack! Whom I just met out on the lake and who is silly and clumsy and was soaking wet from a swim and just as adorable as the pictures Gavin showed me. My goodness, I just want to play with dogs all day.
