Okay. First of all, the very beginning sentence is frighteningly similar to something that I wrote a little while ago (nobody has ever seen it), down to the present tense and everything. *hums Twilight Zone theme* I think you put it better than I did, however. :-)
This is romance as it should be, mixed in with a healthy dose of camaraderie and wry humor. I LOVE it. Very satisfying piece within itself, not at all confusing (although I am curious about this A.). I can't help wondering what the original story is like, though...
Keep up the moments of inspiration, regardless of homework. The end product is so worth it. Especially when you allow others to read it (nudge nudge wink wink).
