U-haul Trucks and Bean Dip...

I went bowling this morning with Ben; two games, lost both times. I'm really bad at bowling, but it was fun anyway.
And then I went to Shana's to help move her roommate out. I sliced open the inside of my elbow with a cardboard box (because I'm talented like that), and drove on the freeway which I hate doing, and spent about seven minutes parallel parking (because I'm really incredibly awful at it).
And then thirteen of us rode back to Hardwick's in the empty back of the U-haul truck which was hilarious, and stifling, and loud, and insane, and really incredibly dark. I literally couldn't see my hand in front of my face; it's not just an expression. We were making really terrible jokes and headlines--"Thirteen Die in Flaming, Burning U-Haul Crash" and "Thirteen Thespians Go Down Singing"--since we were pretty much all singing 'Creature of the Earth' at the end. And the best quote of the day:
Steven (during all the death-jokes): "It kind of makes your life flash before your eyes."
Kaya: "Yeah...but I can't see it."
And then there was a party at Shana's, which was sort of a birthday party for Austin, with the best cake I have ever seen: White frosting, black sprinkles, a drawn broken heart and the words 'to a soul blacker than these sprinkles.'
And now I really have to go pack. I'm going camping, to the Olympic Peninsula, from tomorrow till Saturday. Hurray!

Date: 2005-09-01 06:29 pm (UTC)but I love this:
"sort of a birthday party for Austin, with the best cake I have ever seen: White frosting, black sprinkles, a drawn broken heart and the words 'to a soul blacker than these sprinkles.' "
I laughed so hard and my cousins went "Wah?" but, you have to know Austin
