* ...and it has been raining today, gloriously, beautifully, wetly. Westward ho:
* Did not get part in Bald Soprano; under consideration for small bit part if he needs me. Am thinking is probably actually a good thing. However, still desperately want to be in Tartuffe in Spring. Am also considering auditioning for Vagina Monologues for Winter. Yay.
* Had my first proper writing consulting session today. Went quite well, it was a business memo and already very polished, it only was twenty minutes long and we chatted easily and it was kind of fun. I think for all my whining and ranting and worries this is going to be a really good job. (Go figure. I really ought to just not complain about things I haven't experienced yet because most of the time it comes to naught anyhow.)
Tomorrow I am presenting about the writing center in Dr. Tadie's class (I love Dr. Tadie!) to the first year honors kids. Yay.
* Watched Twelfth Night (the Trevor Nunn version) tonight with Erin and Anna. I really love that movie. Imogen Stubbs is adorable in drag, I have to say. I would fall for her too. Also I know Ben Kingsley is probably old enough to be my grandfather, but I would marry him anyway, that man is wicked brilliant. Monday lit class is going to be awesome. I love overflowing with academic geekery.
* Speaking of which I went to the Literary Society Meeting tonight as well (motto: for those who are literate), and I think I may just devote every minute of my time not already taken up with school-job-theater-if-I-ever-manage-it to this group. Creative Writing workshops and backstage conversations with famous poets and outlets for "frustrated thespians" and LOVE of WORDS and possible going to Ashland with Dr. Taylor in June and I may just about die of glee.
Also I got to meet Dr. Weber, who is the head of the society. We would have had her for winter quarter lit, but she's having a baby, so we get Dr. Taylor twice. Seems a pretty good deal either way as they are both fabulous people.
And now I am going to bed. Today was a good day.
Possibly some writing this weekend? We'll see how homework goes. I am beginning to feel the writing itch again...
