Marry, sir: Tonight was glorious. I love you Anna--it was so wonderful to see you. I really, really hope that Claire (and Anneka?) and I can get down to Portland. It would make me so happy to get out of the city and visit LC for a few days. Also was much fun simply hanging out at a Bathhouse party...ah, I miss that. I miss it even when it's only been a week since the last one, something fierce.
Also, Patrick is really comfortable to lie on.

Moreover: I now have another plan for grad school--I'm collecting them, you see. Apparently. So now there is 1) Oxford University; 2) Some Law School Of Unknown Determination Yet; or 3) THIS. Because it looks brilliant.

Secondarily: It is really kind of sad to have a roommate that doesn't exist for a weekend. I think it wouldn't be so weird if we actually had separate rooms (as we may next year; that way I could have a pet. She won't go for rats, ferrets, or anything of that nature, so what's a girl like me to do?); but to be so used to sharing a tiny space with someone and then coming home to them clearly not being there and also clearly not-have-been-there is really strange. And empty.

Sixth and lastly: I kind of feel like I should do homework, but I'm tired, and unmotivated. If I had a VHS player, I would watch Twelfth Night. Hah. Can I just say how fantastic it is that watching Twelfth Night is homework? (Of course this paper is going to kick my ass; they always do. But at least it's going to kick my ass via Shakespeare, which is something I can't really say I mind.) Maybe I'll put in Much Ado and pretend I'm working....

Thirdly: Game plan. For serious. I really, incredibly need to make this an amazing quarter, academia-wise, and to that end I say:

1) No more going home. It completely throws me for a loop and messes up my head. I never do homework at home, even when I take it with me. No going home until Turkeybreak.
2) No social life, ever. Seriously. Except for already planned things, such as Compline or movies I'd already planned to go to; or unless it's something specific planned in advance. Or Erin and me watching Lord of the Rings movies. Other than that, my life consists of this: class, studying, research for papers, working at the Writing Center, and Ultimate practice. Oh, and eating; and sleeping. And hopefully getting exercise because I need it before the end of the month.
3) No messing around on the internet. I get livejournal/email/etc once a day, no more. If this means I can't read my whole friendslist and keep up with people, so be it. No poking about on weird communities, no finding strange sites because I'm slacking. Absolutely no reading memories of fantasy rants. NO.
4) STICK TO THE PLAN, GIRL. Just DO IT.

...and to conclude: I miss acting in Shakespeare. Can anyone tell?

I MISS COMPLINE!!!!

Also, if you and I are both at Oxford when that time rolls around, I am kidnapping you from the library and we are going punting.

Just so you know.

*dies of glee*

Can we wear white dresses and big hats? And bring a picnic basket? Coooeee!
I think if one of us goes to Oxford, the other should visit in any case; and if neither do we should just go there. Because it is possibly the best city on the planet.

And we needs must go to Compline when thou art returned...which is when? For Christmas?

And I got your email, but I haven't had time to sit down and craft a proper reply--hopefully some time today.

YES! WHITE DRESSES! ABSOLUTELY!

and yeah, probably not 'til Christmas. Why is the world not all in one city?

Because it would be really crowded.

Mm, white dresses. We can make them this Christmas break (or make whatever; I really want to sew costumes).

Law school is evil.

Well. Maybe I want to be evil, then? :)
I don't think I'd be a lawyer; I just find studying law really interesting. Maybe I'll be a part time paralegal or something, to get some money stored away. That might be fun.

I mean LAW SCHOOL is evil. I love the law. But going to law school would be, from all I have heard, a hellish experience.

Ah, yes, you're younger than I am, aren't you ;) No need to worry yet then.

Goodness yes. Those two days make a terrible difference. I mean, you're already planning for retirement, aren't you? Or you ought to be, old man...:)

Well

That sounds like an awesome gameplan for the quarter...as LONG as you're OPEN to aranged social events because we should hang out this and\or next week. I've been bored. I'm an attention whore and I require attention!

I figure yeah, as long as they don't get out of hand. Weekends especially because they tend to fill up and then suddenly I got no work done.
Maybe, um...well, I was about to say lunch and then realized I don't really have open lunch. Um, afternoon tea then? Sometime?
