chapter two: in which stuff happens

So. After all that ranting and writing about how I'm going to stop complaining and get out there and kick some frisbee ass, I go to practice with Cienna and Nicole and David before real practice, and what happens?
I get whacked in the nose with a frisbee. Yeah. Like, really whacked.
Man, I love this game. I'm serious. I do. Am I weird, that I find myself wanting to play even more now that I got really hurt? I didn't go to practice at Logan, but when I came down to get food, I found myself walking out to the field and watching the last twenty minutes of practice anyway. I don't know how much running I'll do tomorrow--it depends on how bouncy my brain feels, as it were--but I really want to now. I'm really weird.
(I've never gotten hit in the nose quite like that before. It actually bled, I was kind of suprised. Of course I was kind of in shock too, so I wasn't really sure what was going on. It was whiteinmyface and then PAIN and then I was 'oh crap...' Really I'm more amused now than anything else. It still hurts a little but not too badly. My eyes feel all itchy from crying, which is kind of more annoying than the soreness.)
(David walked me to the health center--to make sure my nose wasn't broken or anything--and told me, Well, you have to tell the story this way: that sure I got hit in the nose, but I caught the frisbee anyway, after making a perfect cut and breaking the mark of a 600 pound man with python muscles, and I scored a point that won the game, and freed all the slave children, and there was world peace. And the rainforests all grew back. So--pretend I told it that way, okay? :D)
Moreover:
*Crap I have a lot to do homeworkwise. I think I'm more or less on top of it though. I'm actually looking forward to doing shitloads of homework this weekend. I think I am most definetely weird.
*Firefly YAY. I actually got to watch a bit. My reward for finishing homework early yesterday. And today because I got hit. Yes.
*Thank you, people, for being all commenty and loving and stuff. I really do appreciate it. And really, life is never as bad as my LJ makes it out to be...or at least not for long, and usually just ranting about it makes it all better. But thanks.

I will try though. Really really.

Date: 2005-10-23 07:12 am (UTC)Ooooh, I wish I could watch me some Firefly. I still haven't seen Serenity (is it even showing any more?). And I'm getting excited about the new HP movie coming up in a month. And I should probably stop putzing around on the internet and get some sleep so I can study all day tomorrow. Bleh.
