You know what I love about converses? I can wear them all laced up and tied and it still feels like I'm wandering around without shoelaces. Really it does. And these have to be the most comfy shoes I've ever worn. Ahhh...the beauty of second-hand converses at VV for only 6 dollars. Beautiful.
And to make matters weirder, the little all-star logo on the ankle...well, I believe that's supposed to be on the outside ankle of the shoe, right? Mine are on the inside. Heh. My shoes are Mutants! (Here she comes to wreck the day, it's Mutant Converse Girl!)
I think my shoes are affecting my attitude because I have been happier conversely (haha) to the amount of stuff I've got to do. I've been sort of inordinately cheerful all day. Hee hee...
Lesson Number One (1) When Shopping at VV: Always Ask. I got a dress marked down from 17.99 to 4.99 because of a frayed strap. Haha. And YES I am still smug about it. And found prom shoes, so that's over and dealt with. Huzzah...
I read the entirety of Baehr v. Lewin this morning...*groans* Oh, god, why did I think reading case law would be fun?! *sigh* It's not too bad, I guess. And it was helpful. Now I have to research some first amendment law and write some more on my thesis and...and...and...*hyperventilates*
But I'm not. You know what I'm doing today? I am not working on my thesis, oh no. I am meeting Quetzal and going for bubble tea. And then I am going over to Emily's to have a birthday dinner. And you know which one I am preferring doing, yes? Yes. The meeting of the people, of course. Wheeee!
*sends everyone hugs and dances off in converse shoes*
(EDIT: Another funny thing. The Imp in the computer lab. We is making many terrible jokes and things, only even though it's its fault, we're not allowed to blame bluescreens or anything on it, because it gets tetchy. Hmm. I still say let the poor thing out physically for a while. Give the baby a hamster ball...electronical manifestation can only get you so far.)
