Exquisite niftyness.

I just saw Much Ado About Nothing.
At the Globe Theater.
In London.
GAHHHH! It was so incredibly amazingly cool to sit in the Globe and watch SHAKESPEARE, I cannot explain it, I just have to sit and bask in the glow of the bard. At the Globe. In London.
The only thing better would be acting on that stage...which I will do, mark my words, someday, that will be me. Me. Acting at the Globe.
(I'll admit I do have a soft spot for our production last summer, but I think there were things we did better. The confession scene, for example, will never seem quite right if I don't watch Anna and Patrick. Bella's attack scene was much better. Franny's frog leaping Dogberry was funnier, Anneka's to-myself-not-mine speech still breaks my heart--a whole year after, I love it still so much.)
I ate Wheetabix. The soggiest, most absorbent cereal in the world. I pour milk on it until it drowns, and ten seconds later it's hardened into a wheaty mass. God, I love that stuff.
Ahhh...Shakespeare at the Globe...
And now, to be a sheep and follow the flock (baaa), but mostly because I'm curious as to what weird questions you'll come up with:
I want everyone who reads this to ask me 3 questions, no more no less. Ask me anything you want and I will answer it. Then, I want you to go to your journal, copy and paste this, allowing your friends (including myself) to ask you anything.
Time for sleep. More to do tomorrow. Gah! London!

Date: 2004-08-01 11:19 pm (UTC)1) Have you ever been in love? And elaborate.
2)What is your dream role in any play?
3)Best acting experience so far and why?

Date: 2004-08-02 10:13 am (UTC)2) Rosalind. ;) Also Viola and Feste in 12 Night (two different shows, obviously); Beatrice in Much Ado (at the Globe! Har), those are just the obvious first four. Gwendolen in Importance of Earnest, ummm...I'll write up a whole list, shall I?
3) Much Ado last summer, because it was such a brilliant show, everyone was wonderful and there was such love in the cast that it made everything work right from the beginning. On a totally different kind of 'best,' CWS because we worked our asses off and did what we wanted despite obstacles and idiotic beaurcracy. Ha. But Much Ado is probably the show that holds the special place in my heart (not to get too sappy) forever.

Date: 2004-08-02 05:38 am (UTC)2)WHAT is you quest?
3)WHAT is the average velocity of a flying swallow?

Date: 2004-08-02 05:43 am (UTC)1)What is it about being you that most gets on your nerves?
2)What's one thing about us guys that you just don't get (and figure you never will)?
3)You're walking by yourself in downtown Seattle, mid-afternoon, in no particular hurry to be anywhere . A complete stranger walks up to you, grabs your nose, lets go, and then just stands there, staring at you with a totally blank expression on his/her face. How do you react?

Date: 2004-08-02 10:15 am (UTC)2) I went on a quest a while ago to figure out why so many guys wear their pants round their butts. I never did figure that one out.
3) Give them a hug. Why--did that happen to you? What did you do?

Date: 2004-08-02 10:06 am (UTC)To find the lost chocolate bar of smarkand.
I forget, but I have a website on the matter. If I find it I'll send it to you.
I Said It Before..
Date: 2004-08-02 06:14 pm (UTC)We're also a better value for money, Kenna, don't forget that. Since we were free...
Hokay.
1) If the whole world were going to be paved over and turned into a parking lot, but you could save one building on its surface, what building would that be?
2) Will you come hang around As You rehearsal when you get back so we can all see you.
3)What MALE part would you most like to play?
Oh, and I got your postcard. Wheee!
Re: I Said It Before..
Date: 2004-08-03 06:04 pm (UTC)1. Lordy...I don't know. Possibly the Globe. :) Or the Bathhouse. Or the Underground system, does that count as one building?
2. I think you're into performances by the time I get back (the 24th) but I will come as often as I possibly can.
3. Feste. Techinically male, right? Puck is also 'male' and I desparately want to play him. Also Algy from Importance, beause he's such an idiot. :)

Date: 2004-08-06 06:31 am (UTC)0) /*this one doesn't count* Did you get the email I sent you?
1) If you could be any sentient mythical creature (including transhuman creatures such as undead), what would you be?
2) If you were an evil overlord and took over the world, what crazy things would you do either amuse yourself, or if feeling benevolent, 'improve' it?
3) What is your biggest regret?

Date: 2004-08-06 06:06 pm (UTC)1. Dragon, griffin, centaur. In that order, I think.
2. What's that Shakespeare line...first we kill all the lawyers? Naw, kidding. Fix the environment and population problems--no sense overlording it over a dying planet.
3. Um...there's actually nothing that figures too hugely. Mostly it's things I couldn't change so I'm not going to worry about them. Probably not talking to my grandad about his family before he died, I was young and didn't really get that I'd want to later.
