Mood swings are funny things. Right when you think you're way lazy and annoyed and depressed and damnit if you aren't going to have the worst day ever or else, something really small--a cup of tea or a really lovely sentence in a book--comes along and makes you happy again. ...and then vice versa. *sigh*

Whoa...my computer screen just went all grey...it lost brightness. What's going on? Agh. I hate not knowing things about computers. On the surface I can play with them and they're usually nice to me, but really I don't know a thing.

I read Genesis 1-11 today. Had no idea reading the Bible was this much fun. Scribbled notes in the margins constantly, like Where is Logos?(edit: right. new testament.) (I thought it was supposed to be in the beginning was the word, but not in this translation), and What does 'dominion' entail, exactly? and So they were veggies! Were humans originally 'meant' to be vegetarian, then? and So if god didn't want the humans to eat--why is the tree there? And in the very ceneter of the garden, too! Isn't it a bit obvious? And yes, yes, I know the Bible doesn't make any logical sense. That's why this is so much fun. *grin* Wes' big theme for the class is that who you are affects how you read. So, I am a logical person, and therefore get to scribble snarky logic notes in the margins of my bible (which is really, really heavy, by the way). Hehe. On the other hand, the secondary text for the Old Testament is both frustratingly difficult and terribly boring, at the same time. Agh.

I think this quarter is going to kick my ass. I know, I know, I said that last quarter, but this one's going to kick my ass more.

Inkydentally, Nevan has a livejournal now ([livejournal.com profile] scarynev -- and anyone (except Allie and Liz because you both know it) who gets the refrence, gets brownie points). He says he doesn't know whose fault it is, but I bet it was Innaja's. He's over in Connecticut, but feel free to introduce yourself. He comes to visit Seattle a lot.

Tonight is dinner at Eritrean restaurant with Neal and parents, paid for by a newspaper. Yee-es. Also, I now have bright red shoes that are, possibly, the coolest things I have ever worn on my feet. Yes. That is all.
