"i aim to misbehave..."
May. 9th, 2005 06:39 pmOoooohla. I am terrifically excited: Serenity is coming out in September! Dude. River kicks ass, does she ever ("she's a bit unpredictable"--kick, slam--"moodswings, of a sort."--kick, kill. Hah!). Also, I love Wash to death ("Define interesting." -"Oh God Oh God we're all going to die?"). The whole thing isn't all that plausible--okay, it's plausible, kind of--it's just incredibly cool. In the best way. *squeee!*
Also today I saw the trailer for the Chronicles of Narnia which actually looks good (takes forever to load though, and I'm on ethernet. Oy). I'm not a complete obsessee over those books (although they probably did shape my life at age four), but I will be very happy if they get this movie right. Mmm. I'm such a sucker for well-done gorgeous fantasy movies.
In other news, which I totally love: reading Diana Wynne Jones has helped me in school! Ought to be a newspaper headline. It's true, though--my head was confused and for some reason I couldn't remember who'd won the battle of Agincourt (yes, I know, Henry V, but I'm not up on Will's histories, so sue me), and then I heard Janet's voice saying, "ummm...the English?" which of course is true in her world--which is ours. Wow. I am such a nerd, and effing proud. Ehehehe, brilliant!
And now I have to read Chaucer. And it's raining. And it's beautiful.
