Lesson One...
May. 11th, 2005 04:30 pm* The Importance of Pronounciation, Lesson One: "...he was a very irascible man."
-The first syllable of "iracible" is pronounced as is ear, not er.
-The second syllable is pronounced as the a in pat rather than the a in pay.
Thus, the Renaissance painter is an irascible man, and not an erasable man. He is hot tempered, not prone to disapperance by rubber eraser.
Good heavens...that was nerdy, but also rather fun. Considering that I nearly laughed out loud during Art today, I think that needed to be said. *snerk*
I have many papers to write...and few ideas. I have found that I have great difficulty writing without a thesis, or at least a consistent idea of where to go, when writing academic papers. Which is strange, as my preferred method of fiction writing is apparently the Let's Muck About With Words Until Something Coagulates method. Unfortunately for poor ickle me, this doesn't work with Renaissance art history. Bah.
So. To work, more or less. Also, I really wish my hair would grow faster. *tugs at hair ends in vain attempt to speed growth* Grr.
