Jun. 1st, 2006 12:41 amI just put more Folklife photos on my last post if you're interested. Speaking of which, I have determined to buy a new camera this summer, even though I have no money. I know, I can use my dad's digital--& I will, believe me, I want to document my summer more than before--but I still really miss having a proper, weighty, manual camera, that I can fiddle with & do everything on it myself, & I miss developing photos on my own in a darkroom. Maybe I can wheedle my way into Lyn's darkroom at NWS if I pay for paper & a little for chemicals...
In other news, soldering is probably one of the coolest things to do. I now want to use metal for my design project simply so I can solder something. (Incidentally it was The Golden Compass which taught me how to pronounce that word, because I read it out loud & said it wrong.)
Also, I am totally done with my lit paper--I'm turning it in tomorrow. I got an extension on my Shakespeare paper, so I have a couple extra days on that. My philo paper just needs some Gadamer expansion, & my history will take a little bit of fiddling, & some adding in of context, but that shouldn't take too long. Other than that, it's just studying for finals--orals will probably bitchslap me in the face, but I am determined to go out with at least an attempted bang, so I'm gonna try my hardest.
At this point last night I was severely upset & sad. Now I'm weirdly optimistic. I guess I could blame it on PMS, but really, I don't understand myself sometimes. I think I just gotta roll with it...
