Recently I have had to explain to a lot of people what Folklife is,
leeann_marie being, sadly, one of the few people I couldn't just actually drag there to show. (This post will have to do.) I found it a little difficult to convey the utter joy, confusion, bombardment of smells & sounds & feelings that is the festival. (Mallory said she didn't really enjoy it, & I replied, But I loved it! It's amazing! & she said, Well of course, you're a hippie. Heh.) On Monday I finally got to enjoy a proper day there, a full day of shows & wandering about.
