cinderella, without the cinders...
Jul. 1st, 2006 11:54 amYesterday was a bit of a Cinderella-esque day. I spent the afternoon at Paul & Victoria (Shana's parents)'s house, cleaning it. Vaccuming, scrubbing walls & floors, dusting...it was actually kind of fun, kind of nice to be really doing something. I did end up smelling a lot like vinegar for a while, though.
& then I biked home--from past the Arboretum, which took about forty-five minutes & was more exercise at once than I think I've done for a long time--but man, it felt good. I literally collapsed when I got home, but in the best way.
& after all this housework? I went dancing, of course. Not at a royal ball, & I did not meet any princes or lose any slippers. I went contradancing with Melissa, & it was a blast--the dancing itself is really easy, once you get a few basic moves, & the music is fun & lively & the people are all really nice & friendly. They also let me dance barefoot, so, y'know...points for them. Next week is Salsa...
& on Thursday Joel & I went to see "Stones in his Pockets" at CHAC, which you should all go see--it's amazing, & it's running until July 29th. (I was under the impression it ended on Thursday. Either I was wrong or they extended it, again...in any case, go see it. Before July 29th. Cause they're closing for real then. Really they are.)
Eta: Aaron just called & dad didn't go the meeting. If not, where is he? Also, why does he never bring his cell phone anywhere? ...should be worried yet?
