pipistrellafelix: (irrational)
I am in a weird place where I know exactly what I should be doing with myself, & I'm vaguely looking forward to getting things done, but I don't yet have the motivation to actually do anything. It's not a lazy feeling, exactly...I'm not entirely sure. But there's millions of little puttering things I could do, tie off loose bits, & so forth, & if I'm not going to find a proper job this summer (which by this point is extremely unlikely), I might as well do that.
Although I do need to email Mr. BossThingVanBronkhorst & see if I can become a political freelance minion, partime. And Allie did say that a woman who runs a burlesque show down at the Pink Door wants me for an act. ...no, not a burlesque act, hush. A tap dance act. Which means that a) I would be getting paid to perform artsy stuff, & b) I would be, technically, performing in a burlesque show. Yes please, sign me up.

I got a rather bad sunburn yesterday, but it was my own fault for forgetting to wear sunscreen. We played baseball-sort-of. It was actually loads of fun...& Kayla was properly suprised & had no idea where we were, & there was loads of good people & good food, as there should be.

I want to see Front Page again this weekend, & Kaya & Lily, I owe you that ice cream now that I have a little bit of money. Anyone want to comp me in for Friday, or Sunday matinee (if there is one)? Friday would be best, because you'll all be striking & partying on Sunday & I don't want to interfere. So Friday. Yes. Kaya, tell Lily we have a date, if that's good for both of you.

& tonight is Too Darn Hot, which should be fun. Simon & Austin & Devin gave us a preview yesterday. Tap dancing really is rather silly.

& now I am going to go officially be a fine arts major. Squee!

So I was digging through my old photos & ephemera (of which I have too much), & ran across a great deal of old postcards that are blank & unsent & unused. I have a bad habit of buying postcards on trips, & then hanging on to them because I like them, instead of actually sending them off to people, as postcards should be.
Thus, in conjunction with my desire to get rid of shit I don't need, I am going to send these postcards to people. If I'm feeling creative, you might get a haiku. Or a quote from something (Firefly, Monty Python, Eddie Izzard, Oscar Wilde or Shakespeare are all likely candidates). Or a random thought of the day.
All you have to do is comment here with your address. (Yes, I probably have yours, but I know I don't have yours, & I think I had yours at one point, but I lost it. ...which means, it's safer to just give me your address along with saying that you want una tarjeta postal.)

(Comments are screened, so no worries, mate.)
