Jan. 3rd, 2007 12:13 pmI am currently sitting in a computer lab in Pigott that I had no idea existed. It's bizarre, too; the computers are below the desks at an angle, & covered by tinted glass, so when you walk in the room all you see are large black flat squares on the tables. A little futuristic, but sort of reminiscent of the way they used to be set in some of the libraries.
I am waiting for the most godawfully slow file to print, which I then have to read before my class at 1:30.
My English class I think will be fun. I had a short talk about Taming of the Shrew after class with the teacher...I'm happy to be finally taking a class from Dr. Bean, who is a big proponent of the writing center & knew most of the veterans who graduated. It should be fun.
I am a little afraid of this quarter--this one that I thought was going to be easy. I'm afraid of my research project, because I am stalled on my desire to do it at all; I am afraid not of writing the essays for english, because they're not going to be any more difficult than anything else I've done, but of the sheer fact that I have so much of it all. I really hope stagemanaging class is easy. & I hope As You is one of those joyful rehearsal processes that counterpoint school. Believe me, I adored Three Sisters, but it made the workload insane.
All my roommates are now back...Nikki & Erin & I talked last night. Nikki & I are sort of in the same place at the moment, so we can help each other be less lonely, & Erin can make fun of us, like she does, & Camille can avoid our hugs, like she does. It'll be a little more crowded, but a little more fun.
