t minus one week till departure.
Aug. 28th, 2007 11:54 amFor how little time I have before leaving this country, I'm doing suprisingly well. My room is nearly finished; the rest of the basement is organized & actually walkable. Joel staved off a slight panic attack the other night by making me write a list--I had one already, so it was more pulling it out & adding to it & organizing it. But it helps. One big item is gone. Another I'm dealing with right after I finish on the computer. The other can't be done till September, & the fourth is packing, which is a slight panic attack in itself, but nothing that can't be overcome.
Last night the parents & Joel & I went to the Mariner's game. They lost (argh), but it was still fun, wandering around the stadium & finding different vantage points & watching the sunset & cheering on the team. (& taking lots of pictures. Hah. I love my camera too much.)
& then we woke up in the middle of the night to watch the lunar eclipse. We huddled on the floor of the upstairs room & I blinked a lot because my eyes were still blurry from sleep & the moon was bright--but it was beautiful.
I'll go be productive now. Finish my room. Call IES (cross your fingers that someone actually answers this time).
