1. If I were to pick a philosopher to follow based solely on how many snarky remarks they made, I would be a Marxist for life. I sort of enjoy Marx. (I don't enjoy writing about him for class.)

2. People who ramble continuously without getting to the point & then give off an air of condescension when you can't answer their "question" annoy me. (Also people who ask four questions in a row, & then when someone begins to answer, interrupts them and continues talking / answering their own questions. The fact that it's the same person doesn't help.) Shut up.

3. Lunch with Dr. E is still the best way to spend two hours on campus. Ever.

4. I have gone through with my threat to donate my hair. About a foot of it is cut off. Everyone tells me that I look adorable. I still feel really weird most of the time. I like that all my nasty ends are gone & it dries faster--but I could use about three more inches to be comfortable. It is so short! (Pictures forthcoming when I can find my damn camera cable.)

5. This weekend was auditions for one-acts. Casting is fucking hard! But I actually really enjoyed being on the other side of the table--a very long table, as there were 11 of us in the room at once, all lined up. Intimidating much? We saw a large number of really talented people, and had an incredible crop to choose from. One thing I didn't like was how incredibly stressed out people were getting on the first night...I wasn't feeling stressed except by reflection. But for all of that, the deliberations actually were fairly painless--we went down into the classroom, stuck photos on the wall, made lists, talked about our choices, gave each other advice, & were done in about two hours. Not that bad for 11 directors. (I am pleased with my choices. I picked my Rosencrantz almost as soon as I saw him, and was feeling good about my Guildenstern by the beginning of deliberations; then we had to go over everyone again, & I made a long list--just in case there were conflicts--and I had a crisis of too many good choices. But I am pleased. I am also really glad that part is over & we can get started on rehearsals!)

6. We went out to the Rosebud at about one am after casting--it was an SU students' birthday so there were loads of people we knew there. Most of the drama kids, including me, said hi, hello, hi, how's it going, and then all went to the backyard. Haha, anti-social drama brats.

7. I have homework. It just doesn't END. EVER. AGH.
