So today I woke up early & drove to Redmond for a job interview. The woman I was supposed to meet with was sick, so I met with another woman, Trisha, instead. She asked about my resume & myself (what did I like about my WC job or my work at the theater; what motivates you to do good work; tell me about a time you dealt with a frustrating client, etc. The question I despise among all others is "tell me about yourself"--could you be more vague?). I asked her what the company was & what it did. Good information, I feel. (It's American Income insurance; I would be making appointments for people to come in to interview to become insurance agents. Wow.)

So we'll see. I think I could work from home after training, which is a plus as not having to drive/bus to Redmond every day = yay. Also the place felt very....grownup and swank, which it wasn't entirely, but still--insurance what the hell? It would be funny.

Today is more auditions for Eight to One* & then casting & then drinks at Presse. Mmm I am most looking forward to Presse, yum.

*If you're around, come audition:
EIGHT TO ONE
3 short plays on the war in Iraq (written by Elspeth Walker, Wes Statler & Andrew Perez)
performed at the end of July--low time committment, good clean theater fun, plenty of social justice karma points.
Auditions: 3pm-8pm today, SU fine arts building. Cold readings, sides available.
Questions? Call me. (I am directing one of them.)
