Look ma, no wires
Feb. 10th, 2010 12:07 pmWhat is new in my life? This is new: TRAPEZE. Not the flying kind, mind you--Simmone doesn't have high enough ceilings for one thing--but on Sunday she put up the static trapeze and I finally got to play on it. I love this thing. It's the best of hoop and rope at the same time! And I did far better on it than I thought I might, given that I had never played on one before.
I have to say, it didn't hurt that I was one of three students in the class, and by far the most experienced. As much as it's really helpful to learn from and watch more experienced aerialists, I will freely admit that the ego boost of being the best one there is pretty satisfying. This stuff is SO COOL. True story.
In related news, my shoulders hurt a lot.
In unrelated news, I really want a houseboat, I sleep in way too much, I have far too much to prepare before next week, and I wish I had a time-turner so I could fit in everything I need to fit in the coming weeks. Yikes.
