Mostly this morning my job has reminded me how much I dislike a) telephones (I am on one all morning) & b) Internet Explorer (as the resume database doesn't work in Firefox).

Oh, argh.

Oh, I hate, hate telephones. I think everyone secretly does, and they just don't know it until they get a telephone-related job.

I spent two weeks this summer calling resumes all day, and I never want to look at a phone again.

Also, I have developed a permanent professional phone voice, even when I don't want it. It is kind of terrifying.

Yeah! It sucks. That is the good thing, I suppose--I do sound really business-pro on the phone now. But it doesn't mean I like doing it. :)
