pipistrellafelix: (socially inadequate)
Since I wrote in here last, I have:

- Worked more on my room--the new bookshelf is now full of books & other things, & although there's still plenty of stuff on my floor to deal with, it's an easily manageable pile, & the place looks like a room now, rather than a disorganized storage locker.

- Not gotten a call from Maria. Since the job starts today, I'm assuming that means I didn't get it. I'm not too disappointed--even though I really wanted to work with TJM, it would have been a hell of a commute. Plus this way I can take tap & that class at Hugo House! (I really am disgustingly optimistic sometimes.)

- Ushered for King Richard III at Intiman. So good. SO GOOD. I cannot even tell you--the acting, the direction, the sets, the costumes, the everything was amazing. Go see it. I'll go with you. I want to see it again. & I also want to see Much Ado at SSC again, too, so if anyone wants to see that, let me know.

- Begun Spanish. Should be good...intense, but good. Jaime will speak to us mostly in Spanish (yes!) and most of the people in the class seem nice enough (except for Ken L who is an honors child, but sometimes I really don't know why. Also he is far, far too creepy for his own good. I really want to slap him, but that would require touching him).

- Went to lunch with Dad for la dia de las papas* which was nice. We wandered around U Village. Dad bought a remote (such a father's day thing to get) & I failed to find headphones.

- Had a dream that I bought a panini press & then was highly disappointed the next morning when I realized that no, I could not in fact make a panini for lunch that day because we did not, in fact, own a panini press. I tried to make up for it by getting myself one at QFC for lunch today, but their paninis are seriously sub par. They do not even come close to the form of panini. (I knew I should have walked further & got piroshky. The piroshky on Broadway comes much closer to the form of piroshky than QFC's paninis do to the form of panini.)**

- Saw some people (yay Melissa) & missed other people. Hey. Are you off school yet? Yeah, you. I want to see you.

- Printed off far too many resumes....& now I'm off to U Village to try & find a job. Damn...this job searching thing is not enjoyable.

* "Papa" is actually a feminine noun, even though it's referring to males, right? Gendered nouns are weird...
** You know you've gone way too far into the swamp of classical humanities when you start using Plato to explain menu choices. I'll never get out of the swamp...
pipistrellafelix: (river happy)
