it's corrosive to your finger, too
May. 30th, 2008 03:14 pmToday, after not getting up to an alarm (oh, but I love Fridays) & eating a large breakfast of more than cereal, I biked over to Matt Smucker's studio & got taught how to solder.
Soldering is awesome!. How have I not tried it before? I mean, I like fire--so this isn't exactly fire, but it's heat--& I like art, & this is just hardcore fun. Also very slightly dangerous, which only adds to the fun. Now I am carting around a soldering iron, solder, and flux (which sounds like a disease--I think it might be--rather than a soldering tool) in a cardboard box. I would much rather be in the design studio soldering bits of metal together for my set. Instead I am in the library sort-of putting together information on Tibet & China for my group meeting in an hour. It's not hard. It's just boring. I'd rather play with fire.
In other news, I have three script readings this weekend (readthrough for Inherit the Wind on Saturday & reading for Galileo that night; Alice readthrough on Sunday). I feel so actorlike.
